Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has intensified campaign efforts in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County, expressing confidence in the election of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Samuel Muchina Nyaga in the upcoming by-election.
Waiguru said she was encouraged by the strong support and enthusiasm displayed by residents of Bosnia and Rutara villages, noting that voters had expressed their intention to remain aligned with the Kenya Kwanza administration by backing Muchina.
She stated that electing the UDA candidate would ensure continuity in development projects and allow the completion of pending initiatives within the constituency.
“It was exciting to see the enthusiasm and strong support for UDA party candidate Samuel Muchina Nyaga in Bosnia and Rutara Villages, Ol Kalou, ahead of the upcoming by-election. The people have made it clear that they will remain in Government by electing Muchina so that he can complete the work that is still pending for the remainder of the term,”she said in a statement
The Governor was accompanied by several political leaders, including Hon. Thuku, Hon. Michael Muchira, Hon. Kagiri, Hon. James Wamacukuru, and Hon. Moses Kuria, alongside various Members of County Assembly (MCAs), as they mobilized support for the party’s candidate and the broader Kenya Kwanza agenda.
The leaders urged residents to turn out in large numbers during the by-election, emphasizing unity and continued support for government-led development programmes.
The campaign visit formed part of ongoing efforts by UDA leaders to consolidate support in the Mt. Kenya region ahead of future electoral contests.
