Political analyst John Wahinya has said President William Ruto and his deputy Kithure Kindiki deserve a second term in office to complete the economic and governance reforms they have initiated since assuming power in 2022.

Wahinya noted that despite challenges, the Ruto–Kindiki leadership has shown consistency and focus in steering Kenya toward economic transformation and national stability.

“The Ruto–Kindiki administration has laid a strong foundation through fiscal reforms, empowerment programs, and decisive security operations. A second term would allow them to consolidate these gains and deliver tangible results,” said Wahinya.

He pointed to the Hustler Fund, revival of coffee and tea sectors, infrastructure expansion, and intensified security operations in the North Rift as key achievements that should not be disrupted midway.

Other analysts have echoed similar sentiments, saying the government’s bottom-up economic transformation model requires long-term implementation to yield visible impact.

“Many of the government’s initiatives are still in early stages. Policy consistency and patience are key for meaningful results,” added Wahinya.

However, critics argue that the administration must first address the high cost of living and youth unemployment before seeking re-election.
