United Democratic Alliance, the ruling coalition, has intensi? ed its efforts in strengthening its internal structures after a two-day working retreat which sought to ef? ect reform on working coordination and implementation of the mandates of various organs of the party.
The retreat also looked at how operational strategies relates to the way responsibilities are handled by different internal party configurations. Leaders, on the occasion, analyzed lessons obtained from recent by-elections won and nomination process.
Based on party officials, despite UDA victories in some recent by-elections, there were lessons to be learned by plugging gaps that may have been identified or opportunities seized before, during and after the nomination processes.
During the session, UDA Deputy Executive Director Higgins Mbugua urged the party officials to harmonize and work closely as team towards the 2027 General Election.
He stressed on the need to develop cohesive and extremely effective working teams that could implement the party’s agenda and also bolster the grassroots mobilization structures all over the country.
The retreat was attended by Party Directors, Secretariat officials, chairmen and members of main party organs (ENDRC, Disciplinary Committee, IDRC and the National Elections Board (NEB) etc.
Leaders at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to unity, institutional efficiency and transparent party processes as UDA positions itself for future political contests.
