Porro Ward Campaigns UDA

Campaigns in Porro Ward, Samburu West Constituency, have intensified as political parties make final efforts to rally support ahead of the by-election slated for Thursday, May 14.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) stepped up its outreach activities in the area, with the party’s Secretary General, Hassan Omar Hassan, leading campaigns in support of its candidate, Daniel Lolngojine.

Speaking during the campaign trail, Omar urged residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for Lolngojine, saying the by-election presents an opportunity for locals to reaffirm confidence in the ruling party’s leadership and development agenda.

According to the UDA Secretary General, electing the party’s candidate would help strengthen President William Ruto’s inclusive development agenda, which seeks to bring minority and marginalised communities to the centre of economic transformation through the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

“A vote for Daniel Lolngojine is a vote for continued inclusion and development of marginalised communities under the government’s transformative agenda,” Omar said.

He further called on residents to back the UDA candidate overwhelmingly, saying a strong win would send a clear political statement of confidence in the party.

The campaign team accompanying Omar included Digital Health Agency (DHA) Chief Executive Officer Anthony Lenaiyara, UDA Executive Director Nicodemus Bore, Director of Political Affairs Rob Jillo, and several grassroots party officials.

The Porro Ward by-election is expected to attract significant political attention as parties seek to strengthen their influence in Samburu County ahead of future political contests.
