Two suspected drug traffickers have been arrested in a coordinated operation by the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) in Mombasa, leading to the recovery of 250 grammes of heroin.
The raid followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to both drug trafficking and child trafficking.
The operation was carried out at Maweni Estate in Nyali, where officers searched a house believed to have been used to facilitate the illegal activities. During the search, three sachets of heroin were recovered, and the suspects identified as Amir Latf and Ruhman Abubakar—were arrested.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the two are also suspected to be involved in child trafficking networks operating across Mombasa, Malindi and Nairobi.
The suspects remain in custody as processing continues ahead of their arraignment.
