Environmental activist and scout Truphena Muthoni has addressed circulating claims suggesting that her recent world record attempt may not be approved by Guinness World Records.
Taking to her social media pages, Truphena clarified that the process is still ongoing and urged the public to avoid spreading false or premature information. She revealed that she is currently in the process of uploading all the required evidence from her most recent record attempt to the Guinness World Records system.
According to Truphena, officials from Guinness World Records have already reached out to confirm whether she is able to submit the documentation from her latest attempt, a clear indication that the verification process is active. She assured her followers that once the review is complete, the outcome will be officially published by Guinness World Records in the coming days.
The record attempt in question saw Truphena hug a tree continuously for 72 hours, a feat aimed at raising awareness about tree conservation, environmental protection, and climate action. Her initiative attracted widespread attention online, with many praising her resilience and commitment to environmental advocacy.
Truphena emphasised that Guinness World Records has a structured verification procedure that takes time and patience, urging supporters to wait for official communication rather than relying on speculation.
“I’m in the process of uploading my evidence, and once everything is reviewed, the results will be made public,” she shared.
