Content creator Triza Njeri has found herself at the centre of online drama after a private audio recording, in which she defended gospel singer Karangu Muraya, was leaked and widely circulated across social media platforms.

In the audio, which quickly went viral, Triza passionately stood up for Muraya—a move that didn’t sit well with many of her followers, sparking backlash and public criticism. The situation has not only affected her relationship with fans but also strained her personal friendships.

Taking to TikTok Live, a visibly emotional Triza addressed the controversy and pointed fingers at fellow influencer Wairimu Wa Muchiri, whom she accused of secretly recording and leaking the audio. The betrayal, she said, cut deep—especially because it came from someone she considered a friend.

“I have been called names I’ve never been called before,” Triza said tearfully during the live session. “I won’t say much. I will leave this to God. There’s a place I cry out to, and I get answers. He has guided me before, and I believe He will guide me now.”

Supporters like Githaiga Wa Chai have since rallied behind Triza, also laying blame on Wairimu for the leak. The saga has ignited conversations about trust, betrayal, and the pressures influencers face in the age of viral content.

While Triza continues to receive mixed reactions online, many of her fans have expressed empathy, urging her to stay strong and lean on her faith during this turbulent time.
