Though yet to officially declare, Citizen TV news anchor Trevor Ombija has been hinting at running for the Nyakach parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.
The journalist has been traversing the constituency, participating in benevolent and empowerment programs seemingly in an effort to endear himself to the electorate ahead of the 2027 elections.
A video has since emerged of Ombija promising to lower secondary school fees for day scholars to as low as KSh 1000 per term if elected.
"I am assuring you one thing only, if one day you elect me, I will ensure that day school's fee is KSh 1000 per term," said the journalist.
