Teenage sensation Cherono Kipkorir is now aiming for her third win in the 2026 NCBA Golf Series, which kicks off on Saturday at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club.
She previously emerged as the Overall Gross Lady winner at the club’s 2021 and 2025 qualifying legs.
The event marks the opening leg of this year’s season across East Africa, with about 280 golfers expected to take part in the first round of the campaign.
Players will compete in the series’ Stableford format as they vie for honours across various categories.
The 2026 NCBA Golf Series was officially launched on January 15 at Karen Country Club, building on five successful editions that have established NCBA as a leading corporate supporter of golf across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
A total of 166 events will be staged across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda in 2026, an increase from the 164 events held last year.
Of these, 123 will be hosted in Kenya, 35 in Uganda, five in Tanzania and three in Rwanda.
This year’s Kenyan leg of the series will feature 35 events, including 13 main qualifiers, 14 Mugs and two Club Nites. Uganda will host three events, Rwanda two, while Tanzania will stage one.
