Thirty-seven people have been killed in a grisly road accident involving two buses in Tanzania.
In the accident that occurred along the Moshi-Tanga Highway, the two passenger buses collided and caught fire, leaving over thirty other people injured.
One of the vehicles, a Mitsubishi Rosa Minibus, was reportedly transporting people headed to a wedding ceremony.
The other, a long-distance bus owned by a company called Channel One, was travelling from Moshi to Tanga.
Confirming the incident, The Kilimanjaro Regional Fire and Rescue Commander, Jeremiah Mkomagi, said that the fire hindered the rescue operations, making it difficult to retrieve bodies from the mangled wrecks.
