Super Metro has unveiled its entry into the digital ride-hailing space with a new service dubbed SuperGo.
The announcement, made on October 13 via social media, featured a teaser banner and the tagline: “When the ride’s on time, the mood stays prime. We move joyfully.”
Positioned as a homegrown alternative to established international platforms like Uber and Bolt, SuperGo aims to disrupt Kenya’s ride-hailing sector by leveraging Super Metro’s strong reputation for reliability and service.
The move comes at a time when frustrations with existing platforms are mounting.
With a fleet of over 500 buses and a daily ridership of around 170,000 commuters in and around Nairobi, Super Metro brings a built-in customer base to its new venture.
This makes it the first matatu Sacco in Kenya to formally transition into the digital taxi space.
