President William Ruto has said that the government is ready to boost agricultural production in Kenya.
He said that the farmers expand markets & increase earnings in a progressive way.
“We are not only harvesting more maize and producing more tea, coffee and sugar, but the prices of these products has improved significantly” Ruto said.
During his recent visit to China, Ruto met the Fuzhou Benny tea industries chairman; Zhang Chaobin and discussed ways of increasing access of Kenya’s tea to the Chinese market.
He termed Benny as one of the top three companies in china’s supply chain industry in tea production and retail.
He also met Ambassador Lynnette Ndile the Kenya’s Deputy Head of mission in china.
