President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming Kenya while ensuring that no region is left behind in the country’s development agenda.

Speaking after a meeting with Mandera County leaders, Ruto emphasized the importance of working across the political divide to build a united, prosperous, and indivisible nation where all citizens have equal opportunities.

“Our priority is Kenya’s transformation that ensures no part of the country is left behind. We are working with leaders from across the political divide to ensure we build a united, indivisible, and prosperous nation that every citizen can take pride in,” the president stated.

During the engagement, Ruto and Mandera leaders discussed key development priorities, including security enhancement and infrastructure expansion to boost education, healthcare, transport, water access, and sanitation services in the region.

Mandera, a border county often grappling with insecurity and underdevelopment, stands to benefit from targeted government interventions aimed at improving service delivery and fostering economic growth.

The president’s assurance aligns with his broader vision of bottom-up economic transformation, which seeks to uplift marginalized regions and empower communities through strategic investments in key sectors.

Ruto’s continued engagements with regional leaders signal his administration’s determination to address regional disparities and create a more inclusive Kenya ahead of the 2027 general election.
