President William Ruto on Wednesday called on Kenyans to reject ethnic and divisive politics, warning that such tendencies risk derailing the country’s transformation agenda.

Speaking during his development tour of Narok County, the President emphasized the need for national unity and collective effort in building a more inclusive and prosperous Kenya.

“We refuse to fall into the trap of ethnic and divisive politics that not only blurs our vision, but also threatens our country’s transformation,” said President Ruto on Wednesday.

He noted that the government’s focus remains on delivering development that uplifts all Kenyans regardless of region, background, or political affiliation.

“It is our collective responsibility to work together to build a more inclusive and prosperous Kenya,” he added.

President Ruto wrapped up the tour with the official launch of the Sekenani Bead Production Centre, an initiative aimed at economically empowering women and preserving Maasai culture through artisan crafts.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Narok for their hospitality and enthusiastic support during his tour across the expansive county.

“We thank the people of Narok for the excellent welcome they accorded us as we traversed the vast county,” he said.
