The government is set to roll out the second disbursement of the NYOTA Programme Business Support Grants on Friday, with President William Ruto expected to oversee the exercise in Nairobi as beneficiaries from all 47 counties converge at designated venues across the country.
According to Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, the President will preside over the Nairobi event while Cabinet Secretaries will represent him at 17 other locations in a coordinated nationwide exercise.
“The second disbursement of the NYOTA Programme Business Support Grants will be overseen by President William Ruto in Nairobi this Friday, while he will be represented at 17 other locations across the country by Cabinet Secretaries, with beneficiaries from all 47 counties converging at the 18 designated venues,” Oparanya said.
The Cabinet Secretary said preparations for the exercise have been finalized following a high-level briefing meeting chaired by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

“Led by the Deputy President, H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki, we held a briefing meeting to finalize the programme, coordinate the modalities for the simultaneous events and align communication of the President’s message to the youth,” Oparanya added.

The NYOTA Programme is part of the government’s broader efforts to empower young people through enterprise development, access to capital and support for small businesses as part of the administration’s economic empowerment agenda.

The nationwide disbursement exercise is expected to bring together thousands of youth beneficiaries drawn from all parts of the country.
