President William Ruto has said Kenya is firmly on course toward socio-economic transformation, insisting that his administration is rebuilding the economy from the bottom up to ensure inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
Speaking during the Baringo Cultural Festival and Kimalel Goat Auction in Baringo County, the President said the government had taken decisive steps to empower citizens, strengthen key sectors, and ensure no Kenyan is left behind.
Ruto noted that agriculture had been revitalised under his leadership, positioning Kenya as a food-sufficient nation while improving livelihoods for farmers across the country.
“We have reinvigorated agriculture, securing Kenya’s place as a food-sufficient nation. Our healthcare system has been revamped to be more inclusive, more affordable, and accessible to every citizen, everywhere,”he said.
He added that reforms in the healthcare sector had made services more inclusive, affordable, and accessible to citizens regardless of their location.
The President pointed to the Affordable Housing Programme as a major pillar of his administration’s development agenda, saying it was not only transforming urban skylines but also creating employment opportunities for young people.
According to Ruto, the programme has generated over 500,000 jobs, restored dignity to families, and renewed hope in communities nationwide.
He also highlighted ongoing investments in sports and conference infrastructure, including the 60,000-seater Talanta Sports City Stadium, which he said was nearing completion and would strengthen Kenya’s position as a global sporting destination.
In addition, Ruto said construction of the Bomas International Convention Complex, the largest such facility in East and Central Africa, was progressing well and is scheduled for completion by April 2026. The facility is expected to cater to the growing demand for international conferences and events.
The President said his government was delivering on its promises and moving Kenya steadily toward first-world status, describing the country’s transformation as inevitable, irreversible, and unstoppable.
