President William Ruto has announced a fresh investment package aimed at transforming Bomet Town through improved infrastructure, water supply and sanitation.
Addressing residents of Bomet Town, Ruto said the government is implementing several projects to modernise the town and improve services for residents.
Among the flagship projects is the construction of a KSh1 billion stadium, which is expected to strengthen sports infrastructure in the town and provide a modern facility for sporting activities.
Ruto also highlighted ongoing road improvements, saying several roads within Bomet Town have already been tarmacked as part of efforts to improve connectivity and ease movement.
“We will also provide an additional KSh600 million to extend the project to Bomet town and build a sewerage system,”he said.
On water supply, the President said the government has completed a KSh1.7 billion water project that will provide water to Bomet and surrounding areas.
He further announced an additional KSh600 million to extend the water project to Bomet Town and facilitate the construction of a sewerage system.
The investments are part of the government’s broader infrastructure programme aimed at improving urban services and supporting economic activity in growing towns.
The President’s remarks come as his administration continues to emphasise investment in roads, water, sanitation and sports infrastructure across the country. Recent government updates have also highlighted major water and sanitation investments in Bomet County
