The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Water and Sanitation, Julius Korir, CBS, has chaired the monthly Heads of Departments meeting aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing programmes and projects within the sector.
In a statement shared by the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, the meeting provided a platform for senior officials to assess implementation progress and identify challenges that could hinder timely delivery of key water and sanitation initiatives.

The discussions focused on productivity mainstreaming, emerging environmental concerns linked to the rising water levels in the Rift Valley lakes, and ongoing change management within the department.
Korir emphasized the need for enhanced efficiency, accountability, and proactive problem-solving across all departments to ensure effective service delivery.
He further underscored the importance of accelerating project implementation to meet citizen expectations and strengthen access to reliable water and sanitation services across the country.
