The Principal Secretary for Medical Services held a crucial meeting with the Council of Governors’ Human Resources, Labor, and Social Welfare Committee, chaired by Nairobi Governor H.E. Johnson Sakaja and Health Committee Chairperson H.E. Muthomi Njuki.
The discussion focused on addressing grievances raised by the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO).
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to resolving the issues and ensuring that county health facilities continue to deliver uninterrupted services to the public.
“We urge KUCO to call off the strike in the spirit of cooperation,” the PS stated, emphasizing that progress is underway to empanel and contract health facilities licensed by the Clinical Officers Council.
This step aims to guarantee the payment of Service Health Agreement (SHA) benefits.
The dialogue marks a significant step toward fostering collaboration and ensuring the well-being of Kenyans relying on public healthcare services.
