President William Ruto has nominated former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria as the chairperson of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board.

Additionally, Ruto has appointed politician Peter Kenneth as the chairperson of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) National Standards Council.

These appointments extend to senior executive roles, including positions within the Central Bank of Kenya, the Executive Office of the President, and other critical governance bodies within state corporations and agencies.

“The appointments within the Executive Office of the President are aimed at strengthening the personnel complement supporting the Head of State and Government in fulfilling the extensive mandate entrusted to the nation’s highest office,” the presidential announcement stated.

Ruto emphasized that these appointments were made based on the recommendations of the Public Service Commission and in accordance with the legal frameworks governing each respective public office.
