President William Ruto is a frontrunner in the upcoming 2027 presidential election, a new poll by the Infotrak Research and Consulting has shown.
According to the findings by the pollster, President Ruto is the most preferred presidential candidate at the moment with a 28% approval rating.
Jubilee Party deputy party leader Fred Matiang’i, who is seeking to unseat President Ruto, came a distant second with 13% support.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who is among the United Opposition principals with Matiang’i, came third with a 12% support.
Further, the Infotrak survey indicated that President Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is the most popular political party with 23% support.
ODM, led by Oburu Oginga, was ranked second with 19%, with the new DCP formed by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua enjoying a 6% approval rating.
