President William Ruto has nominated Hanna Wendot Cheptumo as Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Gender, Culture, Arts and Heritage.
Wendot is the widow of the late Baringo Senator William Cheptumo, who died in February 2025.
If approved by the National Assembly, Wendot will replace Aisha Jumwa who was fired in July 2024.
In other Cabinet changes, President Ruto sacked Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi and nominated Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku as his replacement.
Former Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has been transferred to the Health Ministry swapping positions with Deborah Barasa, who previously headed the health docket.
