United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Tubi Mohamed Tubi has won the Isiolo South MP seat.
In the by-elections held on Thursday, February 26, Tubi garnered 7,317 votes, beating his sister Bina Tubi, who vied on the Jubilee Party and garnered 833 votes.
Another candidate, Fayo Isack Abduba, who vied on the National Economic Development Party owned by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, stepped down days before the elections in support of UDA’s Tubi.
Elsewhere, still in the by-election, Elphas Shalakha, the (UDA) candidate in the West Kabras Ward MCA seat mini-poll emerged the victor.
Shalakha garnered 3,381votes, beating his close competitor Bramwel Wasike Khaemba, who vied on the Democracy for the Citizens Party, amassing 2,592 votes.
