President William Ruto has reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to transforming Kenya’s economic and governance systems, declaring that failure is not an option for his administration.
Speaking during the Third National Executive Retreat held at the KCB Leadership Centre, the President acknowledged the country’s pressing challenges but noted that strategic and often tough decisions taken by his administration were beginning to bear fruit. “The path to transforming our country has been bumpy, demanding, and has required us to make difficult decisions. Even so, we are proud of those decisions that are now paying dividends.” Said President Ruto
The two-day retreat brings together Cabinet Secretaries and senior government officials to evaluate the progress made under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). The review focuses on key sectors including infrastructure, job creation, and public service delivery.
President Ruto emphasized the weight of public expectations and urged his team to remain united and focused in delivering their mandate.“We cannot fail. If we don’t succeed, we’ll have let this country down in a very profound way. A lot is at stake, and I will always be there to lead this team.” he stated Reflecting on the 2022 general elections, Ruto shared that many Kenyans placed their trust in him based on his vision and promises.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki also addressed the retreat, praising the Kenya Kwanza administration’s strides in improving citizens’ lives.
He pointed to gains in job creation, education reforms, and infrastructure development as evidence of progress.“We are making significant progress in the transformative journey of uplifting the well-being of our citizens,” said Kindiki.
President Ruto remarks with a strong message of hope and unity: “I always knew that changing this country would not be easy. But I also knew that it is possible if we do it together.” he added
