President William Ruto has praised Major (Rtd) Marsden Madoka as a symbol of patriotism, resilience, and leadership, pointing out that his life story is a perfect demonstration of returning back to the country what he borrowed from it.

He was at State House when he spoke at the launch of Madoka’s autobiography “At The Ready”. Ruto stated that the ex-military officer had almost in every instance demonstrated his preparedness to serve, to take lead, and to give up his personal comfort for the advancement of the country and its citizens.

“The life of Major Madoka is proof that no matter what commitment and leadership should be kept. Through all his achievements, he has been consistent to use all his virtues as the ultimate demonstration of patriotism,” President Ruto said.

The President said that Kenyans should learn from Madoka, as his biography brings out serious points on how humility, discipline, and integrity form the foundation of leadership.

Written by Madoka, “At The Ready” is his life history telling his adventures and mishaps but the book, as well, conveys the significance of the generation that their heroic deeds and devotion have become a turning point in Kenya’s history.
