President William Ruto has commended religious leaders for their pivotal role in shaping society and safeguarding moral values, emphasizing that the country’s development hinges on the collective efforts of all sectors of leadership.
Speaking during a meeting with religious leaders from Kiambaa, Kabete, and Thika constituencies held at State House in Nairobi, the President lauded the clergy for their steadfast dedication to guiding communities and upholding ethical standards.“Religious leaders are the moral compass of our society. Their contributions are indispensable in promoting unity, peace, and integrity, which are the pillars of a progressive nation,” President Ruto said.
He further noted that the progress of Kenya depends not only on political leadership but also on the active involvement of the religious community in addressing societal challenges.
The President also acknowledged the invaluable support of faith-based institutions in the education and health sectors, stating that their investment and service delivery have greatly enhanced the country’s well-being.“Our religious institutions continue to play a critical role in providing quality education and accessible healthcare, touching lives in profound ways across the country,” he added.
The engagement is part of President Ruto’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the government and religious organizations in fostering national development and cohesion.
