President William Ruto has formally appointed Erastus Edung Ethekon as the next chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The announcement was made via an official gazette notice seen by TUKIO.co.ke dated Tuesday, June 10. Ethekon will serve in the position for six years.
Also, in the same notice, President Ruto appointed Ann Njeri Nderitu, Moses Alutalala Mukhwana, Mary Karen Sorobit, Hassan Noor Hassan, Francis Odhiambo Aduol and Fahima Araphat Abdallah as members of the commission.
The six will also serve for six years.
