President William Ruto, on Monday, February 2, presided over the NYOTA Business Start-Up Capital Grants disbursement at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.

In the event, KSh 220 million in grants was distributed to 8,820 beneficiaries from Kisumu, Siaya and Homa Bay counties.

This was after the completion of a four-day training, which equipped the youth with entrepreneurship skills.

Each beneficiary will receive KSh 25,000, with KSh 22,000 credited to the Pochi la Biashara account for business operations, while KSh 3,000 saved in NSSF.

In the second phase, another KSh 220 million will be disbursed and beneficiaries will receive an additional KSh 25,000, bringing the cumulative capital support to KSh 50,000 per beneficiary.
