Harambee Stars players and officials are smiling to the bank courtesy of President William Ruto once again after an impressive performance against Angola in the ongoing CHAN tournament.
In the Thursday, August 7 thriller, held at Kasarani Stadium, the 10-man harambee stars held Angola to a 1-1 draw.
Earlier, President Ruto had pledged to give KSh 1 million each to all 27 Harambee Stars players and 15 members of the technical bench for every CHAN win and KSh 500, 000 for every draw.
Having disbursed KSh 42 million after the national team thrashed DR Congo 1-0 last Sunday, the head of state honoured his pledge after the Angola draw.
This publication has learned that President Ruto disbursed KSh 21 million to the team as motivation as the tournament continues.
The head of state promised the team KSh 600 million should they win the CHAN tournament.
