The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has released an update on the ongoing recruitment of police constables, clarifying several venue changes and additions across the country.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 30, the commission explained that while the recruitment dates remain unchanged, some centres that had been left out of the initial advertisements in the dailies of September 19 and 20 have now been included. Others have also been shifted to new venues.

New Recruitment Centres

Among the newly added or corrected venues are:

Kitui County: October 7 – Nuu TVET Grounds/Zombe Stadium; October 8 – Mathuki DCC’s Grounds/Old Municipal Stadium; October 9 – Mutitu Stadium/St. Luke’s Boys Secondary School.

Wajir County: October 7 – Sabuli.

Tana River County: October 7 – Kokane.

Homa Bay County: October 7 – Onunga Stadium.

Kiambu County: October 7 – Alliance High School; October 8 – Playground near Mwihoko Police Station.

Kilifi County: October 3 – Karisa Maitha Stadium (Kilifi North, corrected); October 7 – Kaloleni Grounds/Ganze Primary School; October 9 – Marafa Polytechnic.

Kwale County: October 7 – Lunga Lunga Secondary School.

Uasin Gishu County: October 7 – Chepkigen in Ziwa.

Tharaka Nithi County: October 8 – Kibu’nga/Igamba Ng’ombe DCC Grounds.

Meru County: October 8 – Thuura Secondary School.

Bungoma County: October 6 – Sirisia Sports Grounds (Sirisia Sub-County, corrected); October 9 – Pan Paper Grounds.

Nairobi County: October 3 – Humama Grounds (Embakasi Central, corrected) and Dandora Stadium (Embakasi North, corrected).

Other Venue Changes

The commission also clarified adjustments in several sub-counties. These include: Suba West in Homa Bay (now Sena Airstrip), Kabete in Kiambu (Kirangari Vocational Training Centre), Chonyi in Kilifi (Banda La Salama), Nzambani in Kitui (Chuluni DCC’s Office), Samburu in Kwale (Kasarani Grounds), and Chuka North in Tharaka Nithi (Chuka DCC Grounds).

Eligibility Requirements

In an additional explanation, NPSC clarified that National Youth Service (NYS) graduates who are eligible can apply but must report to the recruitment centres in their respective counties.

The applicants must be citizens of Kenya and aged between 18 and 28 years, must have a valid National ID, and a KCSE mean grade of at least D+ and an equivalent grade in either English or Kiswahili.

On the recruitment day, the applicants must present original and photocopies of KCSE certificate, testimonial, national ID, birth certificate, and NYS discharge certificate (where necessary).

Application forms can be downloaded from the NPSC website or collected at Huduma Centres nationwide.
