President William Ruto has presided over the 88th National Youth Service (NYS) Pass-Out Parade at the NYS College in Gilgil.

The event celebrated the graduation of 14,602 recruits who completed their training in various disciplines, focusing on national service.

The NYS, which conducts two pass-out parades annually, plays a crucial role in preparing young citizens to serve the nation.

The recruits underwent a rigorous six-month paramilitary training program, which emphasizes discipline and readiness for various national duties.

Among those present at the parade were high-ranking government officials including Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development Cabinet Secretary Justin Bedan Muturi, NYS Chairman Njuki Mwaniki, and NYS Commandant General James Tembur and Nakuru governor Susan Kihika among others.
