President William Ruto on Tuesday made a rare public appearance in full military uniform as he led the country in commemorating the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Day at Moi Barracks in Eldoret.
The annual event, observed every October 14, honors the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of Kenyan soldiers in defending the nation’s sovereignty and contributing to peace both locally and abroad.
Donning the ceremonial uniform of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces for the first time since assuming office, President Ruto inspected a guard of honour and joined KDF officers and their families in marking the day.
