Tanzanian singer Mbosso has made the decision to part ways with the renowned Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) record label, founded by Diamond Platnumz. In a bold move, he has also wiped all of his social media content, signaling a fresh start for the artist.
According to Baba Levo, a close associate of Diamond Platnumz, this separation was amicable and done with mutual respect. Diamond, recognizing Mbosso’s discipline and strong work ethic, reportedly gave him the freedom to leave without any financial obligations to the label.
Baba Levo further added that this decision would provide Mbosso with the opportunity to explore new ventures outside of WCB, while also allowing the label to seek new talent. In light of this change, WCB is planning to sign new artists in 2025, with a goal of adding at least six emerging stars.
The label’s search for fresh talent includes artists with skills in both singing and songwriting, Tanzanian citizenship, and a track record of song recordings. The move reflects WCB’s commitment to growing the Tanzanian music scene and ensuring continued success.
