Kapseret MP and President William Ruto’s close ally Oscar Sudi has been pushing for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment.
Sudi is one of the 291 MPs who have signed for the ouster motion against Gachagua, which was tabled in the National Assembly on Tuesday, October 1, by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse.
However, taking to social media, Sudi clarified that no one has an issue with the majority of leaders from the Mt Kenya region apart from Gachagua.
"There's no doubt Murima is at the core of this government. No one has an issue with the majority of leaders from the mountain, save for one ill-behaved character," said Sudi.
Should Gachagua be impeached, Sudi hinted that his replacement would come from the region.
Rumours have it that Gachagua will be replaced by the current Interior CS Kithure Kindiki if the impeachment sails through.
