The Defence Forces Rifle Association (DEFRA) pistol team delivered a strong performance at the International Practical Shooting Confederation competition, clinching four medals at the event held in Nairobi.
The team competed in the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Level 3 league hosted at the Ngong Race Course Jockey Club Shooting Range.
Leading the medal haul, Sgt Agatha Muchiri secured a bronze medal in the Production Division and added a silver in the Ladies handgun category. Cpl Irene Ndunda also impressed, winning bronze in the Open Division before clinching gold in the Ladies handgun category.
IPSC is a competitive shooting sport that tests participants on accuracy, speed and power across various divisions, attracting shooters from different skill levels.
The results mark a notable showing for DEFRA, reflecting the team’s growing presence in the sport and continued participation in high-level competitions.
