Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has forgiven the young people who looted before setting ablaze his high-end Timba XO club in Eldoret.

Speaking during New Year’s crossover Kesha in Eldoret, Sudi said he will also seek the unconditional release of all the people who were arrested for vandalising the entertainment joint.

This would meaterialise if the UDA lawmaker, a close ally of President William Ruto, withdraws the case against the suspects.

“If I have wronged anyone, I ask for forgiveness. Those who wronged me last year I have forgiven them. Even those who burnt down my place (the club), I will remove them from prison,” said Sudi.

In the June 2024 incident, at the height of the anti-Finance Bill 2024 demonstrations, protesters in Eldoret stormed Sudi’s club and looted before burning the structure down, resulting in multi-million losses to the outspoken lawmaker.

16 youths would then be arrested and charged with stealing alcohol totaling KSh 78 million and malicious damage to property valued at more than KSh 80 million.
