The National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA) has commenced a five-day Intelligence Profiling and Analytics Course for officers from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), aimed at strengthening intelligence-led enforcement and decision-making.
The training is designed to enhance participants’ skills in intelligence profiling, analysis and interpretation of information, enabling them to identify risks and respond effectively to emerging threats.
Speaking during the opening ceremony on behalf of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), NCIA Commandant Ibrahim Jillo urged the participants to apply the knowledge acquired to their daily work.
Jillo challenged the officers to sharpen their ability to transform information into actionable intelligence and use it to support better-informed decisions within KRA.
Representing KRA, Prisca Mutindi said the success of the programme would depend on how effectively participants apply the skills gained in their workplaces.
She encouraged the officers to use the training to strengthen KRA’s enforcement capabilities and improve its ability to identify and address emerging risks.
The programme forms part of NCIA’s mandate to provide specialised, competency-based training to law enforcement agencies and government institutions while promoting inter-agency cooperation.
NCIA will also conduct courses in Basic and Advanced Intelligence Analysis, Surveillance and Asset Tracing to further enhance participants’ capacity in intelligence-led investigations and enforcement.
