The 12th leg of the NCBA Golf Series tees off this Saturday at Kitale Golf Club, with over 120 golfers expected to compete.
Players will vie for top spots across several categories, including Overall Men and Ladies Gross Winners, Division 2 and 3 champions, and Junior Winner — all earning qualification for the Series Grand Finale later this year.
Club captain Andrew Birir expressed excitement about hosting the event: “It’s an honor to welcome golfers again. We’re fully prepared and expect a great turnout on a well-conditioned course.”
NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to the sport: “Kitale has always offered a great competitive environment. We’re proud to support this leg once again.”
The event follows the recent Nyali Golf Club qualifier, which drew 223 participants. William Kaguta (hcp 2) and Mary Kandu (hcp 9) took the top overall gross titles with scores of 68 and 78, respectively.
Other standout performances came from Henry Kamau, Gurbux Singh, and Joyce Radtke.
Division winners included Omar Lewa (A), Michael Mbugua (B), and Virginia Flora (C), with Fidelis Wasike (hcp 9) topping the junior category.
