The 2025 NCBA Golf Series resumes this weekend with a highly anticipated qualifying round at the picturesque par-72 Nanyuki Sports Club.

This marks the third time the club is hosting a qualifier since the series debuted in 2021, following a successful return to the calendar last year.

Approximately 120 golfers are expected to take on the 9-hole course, competing for top honours across several categories: Overall Men’s Gross Winner, Overall Ladies’ Gross Winner, Division 2 Men & Ladies’ Winner, Division 3 Overall Winner, and Junior Winner.

Winners in each category will earn a coveted spot in the Grand Finale, set for November 28 at the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club.

Speaking ahead of the event, Nanyuki Sports Club Chairman Joseph Mwangi expressed confidence in the competition, emphasizing that it offers a valuable platform for players to progress to the next stage of the series.

In last year’s edition, Major (Rtd) Peter Waweru claimed victory with a remarkable 35-point round, narrowly edging out Moses Muthoki in a tightly contested finish.

The Nanyuki leg follows a recent qualifier at Royal Nairobi Golf Club, where 15-year-old Cherono Kipkorir stole the spotlight by winning the Overall Ladies’ Gross title, while Kevin Juma emerged victorious in the men’s category.
