Kenyan social media influencer Mungai Eve shut down viral rumors that she has been depressed since she ended her relationship with Director Trevor and regretted it.The rumors began after fake posts on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) emerged claiming Eve was emotionally distressed and dumped after the widely publicized breakup. The rumors went viral and created fiery debates online.
Eve, however, did not take time in dispelling the rumors. She trashed the news as completely false in a clear rebuff:
“This is very fake news, I haven’t made such statements, I am shocked.”
She also took to Instagram, brushing off the rumors lightly:
“Hata nashangaa yaani mimi nikae chini niongee kitu kama hiyo.”
When asked about allegations of depression, the media personality unequivocally debunked the claims, stating:
“God forbid.”
This isn’t the first time that Eve has had to address false reports about her private life. Being a strong and more popular than ever online, she remains to prove that she won’t allow cyber gossip dictate her narrative.
