Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Thursday convened a high-level meeting aimed at advancing President William Ruto’s directive to improve the ease of doing business in Kenya.
The meeting brought together key leaders from the government, private sector, and other stakeholders to foster an environment conducive to economic growth and national development.
“This collaborative session focused on creating a stable and inclusive economy. Unified efforts are essential to support the business community and drive Kenya’s progress,” Mudavadi said during the meeting.
The discussions centered on actionable strategies to enhance efficiency, eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks, and promote solutions aligned with the country’s development goals.
Mudavadi emphasized a whole-of-system approach, engaging various sectors to ensure sustainable growth.
“We need to break down barriers and empower businesses to thrive. This comprehensive approach will ensure we collectively move Kenya forward,” he added.
The session featured prominent leaders, including Treasury CS John Mbadi, Mining CS Ali Hassan Joho, Environment CS Aden Duale, and Trade CS Salim Mvurya.
Representatives from key private sector organizations such as KEPSA, KNCCI, the Kenya Flower Council, and the Kenya Leather Development Council also participated, presenting proposals to streamline business operations.
KEPSA Chairperson, Carole Kariuki, applauded the government’s efforts, stating, “This initiative signals the government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that benefits all Kenyans.”
Mudavadi reiterated that the government remains committed to building partnerships that empower businesses and create jobs, promising more collaborative sessions to ensure the implementation of actionable outcomes.
