Kacheliba MP Titus Lotee has strongly criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for his recent comments about exposing President William Ruto’s true character.
Lotee was responding to a report in the Daily Nation, where Gachagua stated that in time, he would reveal the true nature of the President.
In his response, Lotee accused Gachagua of insincerity, stating that the former DP should have resigned if he believed there were issues with President Ruto’s leadership.
“In this country and the world over, if you believe that what your boss is doing is wrong, you better quit at that level. Do not wait until you are pushed out and then tell us there was a problem in there,” Lotee said during an interview with Citizen TV.

Lotee argued that Gachagua’s plan to expose Ruto now would appear as an act of vengeance rather than a genuine attempt to address any grievances.
“That is insincerity from Gachagua,” the MP added. He further urged Gachagua’s supporters to advise him to remain calm, suggesting that while Kenyans might listen to the former DP, they would not take his words seriously after he was forced out of office.
“Kenyans will listen to him, but truthful Kenyans will know Gachagua is not as truthful as he says. If he was, he would have told us everything he wants to say now. What he says now is all vendetta, aimed at tarnishing Ruto’s presidency,” Lotee stated.
Gachagua’s remarks came after he opened up in a televised interview about the fallout with President Ruto, explaining that his refusal to support unpopular programs within the Kenya Kwanza administration played a key role in the rift.
He also acknowledged understanding why former President Uhuru Kenyatta fell out with Ruto during their time in office together.
