The Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Kiruga Thuku Foundation, Chronic Diseases Society Africa, and the Nyeri County Government, has launched a free medical camp at Munene Kairu Centre, Othaya, Nyeri County.

Running from January 20 to 23, 2025, the camp offers a wide range of healthcare services, including SHA/TAIFA Care registration, cancer screening, and treatment for arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, dental, orthopedic, ENT, and eye-related conditions.

Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, emphasized the government’s commitment to Universal Health Coverage (UHC) during the event’s launch.

“This initiative ensures healthcare services are accessible and affordable for all Kenyans, leaving no one behind,” she said, applauding the collaboration with partners.

The camp is part of ongoing efforts to enhance community health and promote UHC by addressing diverse medical needs. Residents are urged to utilize the free services during the four-day initiative.
