The Principal Secretary, State Department for Medical Services, Harry Kimtai held discussions with a delegation from Johnson & Johnson Kenya, focusing on enhancing collaborations in mental health, oncology, and community health.

The meeting reviewed Johnson & Johnson’s ongoing initiatives with the Ministry of Health, which include mental health advocacy, research, patient access programs, and training for healthcare workers.

Future partnerships were also explored, including mental wellness programs for healthcare workers, a national mental health survey, and mental health awareness campaigns.

Johnson & Johnson emphasized their commitment to neuroscience and supporting Kenya’s Mental Health Policy.

Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai praised the partnership and reiterated the Ministry’s priority on mental health.

Attending the meeting were Ms. Idah Asin, Mr. Antony Gitau, and Ms. Rosemary Ayieko from Johnson & Johnson.
