The Governor Kimani Wamatangi Football Championships is back after a hiatus and finals will take place on October 27 at the Kirigiti International Stadium, Kiambu County.
The matches set to be played on this day were slated to take place on June 30.
Ali Osman Korar, the County Executive Committee Member for Youth Affairs and Sports in Kiambu County confirmed that the cup finals will be between Githunguri Seniors FC (Githunguri) and Butterfly Football Club of Ruiru.
The third playoffs will be between Copia FC of Ruiru and B.Fast Football Club of Limuru.
Governor Wamatangi announced that the winner of the tournament will receive Sh500,000 and the runners up Sh250,000.
Third placed will take home Sh100,000 while the fourth team will walk away with Sh50,000.

Wamatangi launched the tournament cup last year.
To support sports in the county, he has upgraded several stadiums, notably Thika, Kagwe, and Githunguri Stadiums, along with Kanjeru Stadium in Gitaru Ward, Thigio Grounds in Ndeiya Ward, Limuru Sub-County, and the grand Kirigiti International Stadium in Kiambu Township Ward.
