National women’s Volleyball team,Malkia Strikers, will begin their quest in this year’s FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship against Germany tomorrow, Saturday in their group G opener in Phuket,Thailand.

After facing off with Germany,Malkia Strikers will play Poland and Vietnam in its group G matches. Defending champions Serbia headline the 32 team championship that has been spread across four cities.

Thailand’s capital Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Nakhon Ratchasima. The teams are divided into eight pools of four teams each and will play one another in a round-robin format, where the top two teams will advance to the final round.

Meanwhile, the bottom two teams from each pool will be ranked from 17th to 32nd. Malkia Strikers warmed up for the competition by participating in two friendly matches in Vietnam,losing both against Spain and Vietnam.
