Former Machakos First Lady Lilian Ng’ang’a has sparked a heated online debate after sharing her concerns about the growing obsession with cosmetic surgeries particularly BBLs among young women and celebrities.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Lilian expressed shock at how drastically attitudes around body image have changed over the years. She recalled a time in her 20s when women embraced their natural bodies, saying they were “skinny, young girls just enjoying life” without extreme pressure to alter their appearance.

“Now we have 20-year-olds who hate their bodies so much to the point of endangering their lives,” she wrote, highlighting the worrying trend of young women risking dangerous procedures to fit into current beauty ideals.

While acknowledging that everyone has a right to make choices about their own bodies, Lilian warned that the intense push for cosmetic enhancements especially by celebrities with massive influence is contributing to body dissatisfaction among youth.

She emphasized that nothing beats healthy eating and exercise, reminding her followers that natural methods are not only safer but also more affordable, even for those who can financially afford cosmetic work.

Her remarks come at a time when several public figures and influencers have openly embraced body-altering surgeries, sparking both admiration and criticism among fans.
