This milestone comes just a few months after Carolyne made headlines by picking up Tyrese from his school, Thika High School, in a luxurious limousine following his KCSE exams in November 2024. The car, adorned with festive balloons and a banner reading “Congratulations, my Tyrese,” sparked a wave of admiration online. Carolyne referred to her son’s academic achievement as a significant personal victory, writing, “Today I am the happiest woman on this planet Earth. Have you seen what the Lord has done? This is what I prayed for.”
John DeMathew, known for his soulful Benga music, passed away tragically in 2019 in a road accident along the Thika Superhighway. His widow, Carolyne, is his second wife, and the couple’s son, Tyrese, has now grown into a young man with a promising future ahead.
