The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened a seven-day application window for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates seeking admission to degree or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.
The application period, which started on April 23, will close on April 30.
KUCCPS has urged candidates to apply early, emphasizing that latecomers will miss out on the opportunity.
The application window is open to 2024 KCSE candidates for degree programs, while TVET courses are open to candidates from 2000 to 2024.
Additionally, those who sat their exams between 2000 and 2024 can apply for Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), with specific courses available.
TVET applicants can choose from diploma, certificate, or artisanal programs, while TTC applicants can apply for teaching courses. Degree course applications are restricted to candidates with a mean Grade of C+ and above.
KUCCPS also urged timely submissions, especially after concerns were raised on April 17 that over 100,000 candidates who had qualified for university admission had yet to apply.
The placement service reminded applicants not to wait until the last minute to submit their applications.
