The Kenya Medical Training College is encouraging students who missed the KMTC September intake 2025 to consider alternative options that are still open at the institution.
In a statement released on Tuesday, August 5, KMTC advised applicants who were not placed for the September 2025 certificate and diploma programmes to apply for other courses still available at the college.
“If you haven’t secured a slot for the September 2025 intake, consider applying for our Higher Diploma, Upgrading Diploma, or Short Courses,” the statement read in part.
Unlike certificate and diploma programmes offered through KUCCPS, these options are directly accessible via the KMTC official application portal.
Courses Still Available at KMTC
KMTC’s open programmes include:
- Higher Diplomas for those looking to advance their existing diplomas.
- Upgrading Diplomas for certificate holders who want to level up.
- Short professional courses tailored for in-service health workers and professionals seeking to boost specific skills.

- Safe Phlebotomy
- Sign Language for Health Workers
- HIV Testing Services
- Echocardiography
- Infection Prevention for Health Professionals
- Monitoring and Evaluation (part-time)
